Policies and Procedures


Payment Schedule

  • 50% Retainer fee due at contract signing
  • 25% of total project cost due at Site Review*
  • 25% of total project cost due at Go Live*

Late Payments

  • Payments that are up to one week overdue shall have a penalty fee applied. The penalty fee will be 5% of the payment amount.

  • Payments that are up to three weeks overdue shall have a penalty fee applied. The penalty fee will be 10% of the payment amount.

  • If final payment is not received witin 7 business days after go live, Fox Web Development reserves the right to a 10% penalty fee AND the removal of the website. Additionally, the client may be charged on an hourly basis for the removal and re-installation of the site.

Change Requests

  • Change to Original Requirements

  • Minor changes to original requests may be made in writing, via email. Depending on the scope of work involved and how much additional time this will add to the project, Fox Web Development reserves the right to increase the cost of the project.

  • Additional Features Requested

  • Additional feature requests may be made in writing, via email. Depending on the scope of work involved and how much additional time this will add to the project, Fox Web Development reserves the right to increase the cost of the project.

  • Bug Fix Requests

  • Should the client discover that a feature in the original requirements is defective, Fox Web Development will fix these bugs or provide an equivalent work-around at no additional cost to the client.

    Client has up to 2 weeks after the Go Live date to request bug fixes. After the 2 week time period has expired Fox Web Development reserves the right to charge the client on an hourly basis for additional changes made.

  • Content Revisions

  • Client is allowed no more than 1 revision of their provided content once it has been entered into the website. After 1 revision, Fox Web Development reserves the right to charge the client on an hourly basis for additional changes made.

    Clients who have a content management system* will be expected to make their own content revisions.

    Websites that have been fully completed with the exception of content entry because the client has not provided the content are considered "Live". Therefore, all content update requests made after the go-live date will be charged on an hourly rate.

  • User Interface Design Revisions

  • During the design phase*, the client is allowed no more than 2 revisions of the user interface design compositions provided by Fox Web Development's graphic designers. After 2 revisions, Fox Web Development reserves the right to charge the client on an hourly basis for additional changes made.

    Once the design comps have been transformed into code for the web Fox Web Development reserves the right to charge the client on an hourly basis for additional design changes made.

Definitions

  • Site Review

  • 70% of pages have been completed, with approved user interface. Content may or may not have been entered, depending on whether or not it has been submitted by client at that point in time. Ideally, 70% of client's content should be submitted at this point.

  • Go Live

  • 100% of pages have been completed, with approved user interface. Content that was provided by the client at that point in time has been entered into the site. Client has approved the site with the exception of no more that 3 minor revision requests.

  • Content

  • The text provided by the client to be added to the website.

  • Content Management System

  • Administrative tool such as Page Publisher or Drupal that allows client to maintain content on their site.

  • Design Phase

  • Beginning phase where client works with graphics designer to determine the look and feel for the site. All comps provided are images only, and will be broken up to be applied within web code to build an actual website.
